This is a summation of proceedings at the 48th Ward Zoning and Planning Committee Meeting of 02/21/07.

The Alderman's office discussed the Mayor's proposal for affordable housing. The PDF: Mayor's Proposal is the current proposal on the table. The PDF: ONE's Proposal is the modification a group called Organization of the Northeast would like to see adapted. ONE is an affordable housing advocate. A request for a special use drive-through facility at Broadway Bank at 5690 North Broadway was approved. The local block clubs and the ECC and EDC were in favor of the proposal. The Bank has agreed to provide security cameras around the Bank as an incentive for the approval.

A request by Loyola University for a special use at 6317 North Winthrop for a seven vehicle parking lot to serve a planned Jesuit residence was approved. The local block clubs and the ECCC and the EDC were in favor of the proposal.
