Calendar of Events
(If there is a local event you think might be of interest to Block Club residents, suggest it to the Block Club president for inclusion here.)
In addition to the events shown below, various events occur on a regularly
scheduled basis:
- The Margate Park Advisory Council meets on the 4th Tuesday of every month
at 6:30 p.m. in the Fieldhouse.
- The CAPS meetings take place the 3rd Thursday of every even month at 7:00 p.m. at Margate Park.

- Thursday and Friday, May 10 and 11, street sweeping in the neighborhood.
Watch for No Parking signs
- Saturday, May 19, Annual Kids and Kites Festival next to Montrose Beach
starts at 10 AM to 4 PM. NATO providing 5,000 free kite kits and informational items
this year.
- Tuesday, May 22, positive loitering (neighborhood watch) on the
S.E. corner of Winona and Sheridan from 8 PM to 9 PM.
- Sunday, May 27, Annual Bike the Drive beginning at 5:30 AM. Lake
Shore Drive closed during the AM.

- Saturday and Sunday, June 16 and 17, annual Block Club garage/sidewalk
sale on Winona and Carmen from 9 AM to 4 PM. $11 registration fee for a table.
- Thursday, June 21, at 7 PM. CAPS community policing meeting at Margate
Park..
